Online Privacy

The majority of these resources and recommendations come from Violet Blue’s excellent The Smart Girl’s Guide to Privacy. The book was released in 2014, and, as time and hackers march on, this list will change to reflect the way technology is being used for and against those who’d like to maintain a modicum of privacy online.

Blue advises that before using any of these (or any security) apps, extensions, browsers, etc, read reviews from the last year to see what–if any–problems other users are reporting.

[If you encounter problems with any of these services or learn of new ones, please let me know so this list can be updated.]
